Spring Valley is an unincorporated town and census-designated place in Clark County, Nevada, United States, located 2 miles west of the Las Vegas Strip. The population was 215,597 at the 2020 census. Spring Valley was formed in May 1981.

The Lay on the land.

The borders of Spring Valley begin at Sahara Boulevard, next to downtown, and go down to Warm Springs, where it borders the southwest region of the city. The area extends far west up to Hualapai Way, where it begins to transition into The Lakes and Summerlin.

Like most of the Vegas valley, this section of the city is flat and spread out, but there are elements that give it a small-city feel. Although parts of the neighborhood are lively, the overall vibe of the community is suburban, especially when compared to the high energy and fast pace of The Strip. There is truly something for everyone in Spring Valley, from studio apartments and condos to single-family homes and large estates with acres of land. In addition, the average age of residents in the area is 38. What this data shows is that anyone and everyone lives in Spring Valley, and the neighborhood attracts everything from service industry professionals to celebrities. "Property Brothers" stars Jonathan and Drew Scott have called this part of town home, and rapper Coolio is often seen relaxing in the area, too.

Parks & Recreation

With businesses like Pole Position Raceway, Sky Zone and Wet'n'Wild all within its borders, there are always fun activities for families in Spring Valley. The area is also very pet-friendly: Neighborhood mainstays Crown and Anchor, Madhouse Coffee and Egg Works all allow furry friend.

Like most neighborhoods in the area, life is more accessible in Spring Valley with a car. Because this area is very central to the city, commute times are reasonable — getting to another neighborhood in just 10 or 20 minutes is easy. Although most day-to-day driving in Spring Valley doesn't require a freeway, the 15 and the 215 are both nearby. The RTC bus is also very active throughout Spring Valley.

Many of the neighborhoods and master-planned communities have parks and recreational areas for residents to enjoy. There are also many public parks with outdoor activities, picnic areas and sections for animals. Desert Breeze Park is a massive park with basketball courts, skateboarding, soccer fields, baseball diamonds, hockey areas and dog runs. Other nearby parks include Spring Valley Community Park, Paul Meyer Park and Charlie Frias Park.

There is quite literally something for everyone in Spring Valley when it comes to nightlife. The neighborhood is a quick drive from The Strip, which has endless entertainment options. For those who wish to avoid touristy areas, Chinatown is nearby and perfect for a great evening out. The area has ample cuisine options that residents can choose from. Fuku Burger, Pho Kim Long and are local favorites. Chinatown also has karaoke bars, lounges and tiki bars.

In addition, local casinos like The Palms, Rio Las Vegas, The Orleans and Gold Coast have dining, bars, bowling, movie theaters, clubs, concerts and pools to keep people entertained.

Spring Valley is located in the west portion of the Las Vegas valley. Its real estate is among some of the best property in the area. Spring Valley is known for its exclusive, prestigious communities like Rodes Ranch and Spanish Trail which is the very first guard-gated community in the city. Originally developed in the 1980s, Spanish Trail is now one of the most well-known communities in all of Nevada with luxury homes where celebrities has their mansions.
